Chalkboard Snack Jar

What You Need:
- A jar
- Chalkboard paint
- Paint brush
- Hot glue gun
- Index card
- Chalk

What To Do:

1. Use chalkboard paint to paint an index card. Let Dry.
   * You could also tape off a rectangle and paint directly on the jar, but I used an index card to make sure my lines were straight.
2. Hot glue the index card onto the front of the jar. ( There is tape in the picture because I was going to use double sided sticky tape incase I ever wanted to remove it, but it wouldn't stick so I just glued it).
3. Then use chalk to write what you are going to keep in the jar.

DIY Coasters!

What You Need:
- 4 inch square tiles (mine were 28 cents each at Lowe's)
- white craft glue mixed with equal amount of water (or decoupage glue)
- decorative or plain colored paper napkins
- foam brush
- scissors
- waterproof acrylic sealer (spray or paint can)
- adhesive cork or felt pads for backing coasters

What To Do:
1. Clean tiles with soap and water. Dry.
2. Cut napkins to fit top of tile.
3. Brush top of tile with coat of glue mixture. Place napkin on top. (Dry 15-20 min)
    * The napkin will wrinkle a little, but that just adds some character :)
4. Add a layer of glue mixture on top of napkin and let dry.
5. Seal tiles with acrylic sealer. (Add as many coats as desired; I added 2 coats)
6. Apply cork/felt pads to the bottom of coaster. (one in each corner of the tile)

Close Pin Refrigerator Magnet

These refrigerator magnets are so cute and so simple to make! All you do is pick a piece of scrapbooking paper you like and glue it onto the close pin. Then hot glue a magnet on the back.

Here is the magnet glued on the back.

These could even be used on dry erase boards!

Crayon Initials

You can find out how to make this HERE.  Since I am going to be a teacher I thought this was such a cute idea! It would be great to use in your own classroom, or to give to one of your kid's teachers!

Curtain Tie

Walking out the sliding glass door at my fiance's house was always a pain because the curtains would get caught in the door. I went to a few stores to find something to hold them back. I wasn't really pleased with anything I saw, so I decided to make my own.

I cut a strip of white fabric ( you can choose any color or texture you like) and bought a button that matched the decor in his kitchen. I then sewed the button on the strip of fabric. We now have curtain ties that add some character to our curtains and of course, are functional.

Inspirational Wall Art

So, my fiance just bought a house and of course...I had to start decorating it! I love to scrapbook so I had some scrapbooking paper and I found some inspirational words in the scrapbook aisle at Wal-Mart. I used colored paper for the background and glued the words on top. I then bought an inexpensive white frame to put them in.
