Portable Placemat Game

I found this idea in one of Martha Stewart's magazines. (But added the compartment for the game pieces)

-Find a placemat (mine was 50cents at Big Lots) and use a ruler to draw the checker board on the placemat.
*Be sure to fold the placemat over so there is enough room to store the game pieces inside.

Then use paint to color the checkerboard in.

Sew the two ends of the folded part so that the pieces will not fall out. Add velcro on the open side.

The game pieces are cut from foam sheets.

Then you're ready to play! :)

You can also add a tic-tac-toe board to the other side.

Roll it up and take it on a picnic, car ride, or to the beach. Have fun!!

Dog Leash Holder

I found this cute idea HERE.

Get the letter of your Dog's name (My puppy is Ellie) and mod podge scrapbook paper. I found this cute dog paper at Hobby Lobby.

Then use gorilla glue to attach 2 knobs. (one may be enough for a smaller leash)

Then I added a picture of Ellie and hung on the wall.

I think it turned out so cute!-Just wish the leash wasn't so big!

Wedding Activity Book

Since there will be kids at our wedding, I wanted to do something for them. Some of the adults may even want to do it too!

Here is the front.

I created the cake using shapes in Microsoft Word.

I found the maze online, but decided to add the bride and groom. I think it turned out cute!

And the back..I love the back of the car! Then I just hole punched the paper and tied it together with ribbon.

Wedding Guest Book Alternative

With the wedding coming up in a little over a year :), I decided to start posting some things I have done for it. I keep trying to decided whether or not to have a guestbook. It always ends up getting tucked away somewhere and never looked at again. Even if we do have one, I thought this would still be cute. So, I decided that it would be a good idea to have guests write us a little message so that we can look at it every year on our anniversary to remind us of our special day and all those who were able to share it with us. I'll probably put it somewhere at the reception so guests can write while they wait on us to arrive or throughout the night.

Here is the poem that I will put in the frame next to the jar.
As we begin our journey –
A brand new Mr. and Mrs.
We surely could use
Your advice and good wishes.

Share with us your wisdom
About marriage love and life
The secret to being a good husband
Or a loving wife

Don’t forget to sign your name
So that we can remember
All who came.
