Burlap for my wedding?!

I have a friend who is using some burlap in her wedding, and so decided to look at some stuff online. There are so many cute things you can buy/make using burlap!! And since my wedding is in the fall (November) I think it will look cute!  Here are a few things I really liked. Let me know what you think and if you have any other good ideas!

1. Pew Bows: I found these at Ballard Designs online and they are even on sale right now! Originally $12 and on sale for $4!! I would like to add some color to them somehow..maybe buttons?

2. Pew Decor: I also like these for possible pew decorations. These I found on Etsy, but would probably try to make them myself.

3. Ring Barrier Pillow: I LOVE this!! It is so pretty, isn't it?!

4. Table Runner: I really like this table runner. I would probably only use one runner per table though and use a satin ribbon that matched the decor.

5. Burlap Banners: How cute are these? They would be great for decorating or using as a photo prop.

I really like that these are rectangles and not triangles like you usually see.

I also thought it would be cute to make a banner like this for the cake table that says "Love is Sweet" or something like that.

  1. I love the idea of adding buttons to the pew bows! Also, beware of working with the burlap. I am so sick of it. When you cut it it's hard to get straight and I hate breathing it. I. am. done. with. burlap. lol good luck :):) You should wait until after our wedding to make the banners/cones unless you don't like ours. We are going to give them away if they don't sell. Need the off-white paint?

  2. I'm thinking the paint may not be the right color for you. I have the sign made with it up on http://3142011forsale.weebly.com/. It looks too peacock and not enough turquoise in Fiesta lingo. haha

  4. I like the Ring Bearer Pillow and the Pew Decor. I think we could die the material if you wanted, but of course an exact match would be tough. But as long as we died all the material at once, at least they would be a consistent color.

I'm game, if you want some help.

  5. hi! i just found your blog and i love your burlap ideas. i got married last november and we had a very hand-crafted shabby chic look too. i used burlap as my table toppers and i loved the look of it.

if you want a good deal, we ordered all of ours at eburlap.com. that was even cheaper than renting burlap table toppers. just at tip!
